Nakisa allowed us to close our books a week before month-end. Now anyone can easily run a report the last week of the month to verify depreciation, cost centers, and other aspects and ensure they are all correct. We are starting to use the automation of contract uploads and mass lease modifications, and they are going to be a huge win for us.

We worked closely with the Nakisa team to build a solution that would fit the size and requirements of a corporation like Nestlé and that would bring value to other similar organizations in terms of scale and accuracy. Nakisa has a lot to offer in terms of flexibility, user-friendliness, ERP Integration and its cloud solution.

Nakisa for us is the one we are using for real estate for all of our markets. The benefit that we have seen is that it can do the accounting IFRS 16, ASC 842 and have an SAP integration. It is the system that we used that connects to the fixed assets and solved the effects problem.

Nakisa is an intuitive application that is able to handle all types of leases. We also found it to be the only solution that comprehensively operates in multiple currencies, which is ideal for our global business requirements.

With the number of lease contracts we have, we needed a scalable solution that could be operational before our IFRS 16 compliance deadlines. After an extensive vendor selection process, we identified that Nakisa is the best solution to support our compliance initiatives.

We’re using Nakisa's mass update and mass lease modification for the automation of our processes. One of our entities also utilizes the mass import tool for efficiency. With our current SAP integration, we no longer have to wait for the fixed asset team to run the lump sum SAP depreciation, which is a significant improvement for us.

Nakisa met our requirements perfectly and offered even more... With Nakisa, we achieved 97% lease data quality, having only 1-3 errors per all 24 entities. To compare, when we used macros, we had 3 errors per entity.

The platform is easy to use but powerful and flexible enough to address unique business scenarios. The out-of-the-box integration with SAP ECC and S4 HANA has been a significant benefit, ensuring seamless data flow and accurate reporting.

With respect to our partnership with Nakisa, we have been very satisfied and very happy with our migration to the cloud. The product is extremely stable and definitely has allowed us to move from a very unstable environment to a very stable environment with virtually no interruptions since we went live. When ASC 842 for US GAAP was adopted in 2020, we were able to input into NLA all our lease contract information in an easy and efficient manner. This was no small feat considering we have hundreds of lease contracts, ranging from small-value items such as photocopiers to big ticket items like trucks and railcars.

The implementation project was challenging but rewarding. We accomplished it in what we consider to be a relatively record time: in about four months, we were able to consolidate all Latin American lease contracts into a single repository. Of course, like any implementation, there was a learning curve for both sides regarding support, configurations, and usage. But the learning curve with Nakisa was relatively short, compared to the experiences I’ve had with other systems.

Nakisa Lease Accounting has not only helped us meet financial statements reporting requirements, it has also enabled us to centralize the management and control of leases undertaken by the various departments in our organization.

The challenge was significant due to our high expectations, but Nakisa rose to meet it and we are satisfied to have chosen them as a partner for our IFRS 16 accounting.

We also appreciated the solution’s clear and intuitive user interface, and such features as the revenue recognition tool and the option to tag PDF documents— something I haven’t seen in other tools.

The upgrade was done by the Nakisa team without any major issues. It was smoother than we could have anticipated considering the volume of historical data.

As we report in both US GAAP and IFRS, we have to put together full disclosures on a quarterly basis under each reporting standard and all the out-of-the-box disclosure reports [of the NLA software] in essence fit those needs.
