Job Description |
Reporting to the QA Manager, you will design, develop, implement and execute core tests for applications and will ensure product quality of Nakisa’s products. The Test engineer will also prepare and execute automated test scripts for Nakisa’s products.

Responsibilities |
- Understand product requirements to develop and execute test cases for Nakisa software products
- Report, prioritize and track all development bugs
- Work closely with the development team to ensure defects are correctly identified and fixed
- Document and track software defects and prepare metrics reports found during testing
- Design and build automated test scripts for functional testing, stress testing and performance/scalability testing
- Help determine what is suited for automated testing vs traditional manual testing
- Experience with free format testing
- Experience helping prepare release notes
- Validating final installation documentation

Requirements |
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in software quality assurance environment
- Knowledge of software testing and evaluation procedures as well as information technology principles
- Minimum of 2 years working with automated test suite environments including writing test scripts
- Proficient in Functional, GUI, Integration, System, Regression and End-To-End Testing
- Experience in Performance, Stress, Load and Volume Testing
- Knowledge of Open source tools like Selenium, JMeter, TestMaker is an asset
- Experience working in various software development life cycle methodologies including Agile
- Experience using bug tracking tools from Rational, VersionOne or Bugzilla
- Proficiency in English written and verbal, French is an asset
- Solid understanding of Web applications
- Programming and scripting skills is an asset
- Experience with SAP landscape and test environment is an asset
- Experience in .net & Java platforms is an asset
SKILL SET
- Enthusiastic, energetic, strong team player capable of working in and contributing effectively to the team environment is a must
- Ability to communicate effectively including bug reporting
- Ability to multitask and coordinate parallel development cycles
- Hands on experience with test tools
- Worked in high growth environment
